indeed - should be interesting. does the UV irradiation from the UV clarifier counts too?

Oh how i tried to feed MP - he eats them but very very little

Meal worms he eats alot - and now earthworms (ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww). i instructed to give MP anyway as bichir and motoro (in particular) clean up any worms but still .... ewwwwwwwwwwww plus i saw on indodragon that earthworm can lead to protruding anus ...

this red guy is not even into live food (fish and frogs) ... he is just lazy but at least he is not skittish anymore (used to be when was in black tank indoor)

Aros love earthworms! They go wild for it but it's addicting. I would try to get it onto MP. MP has carotene which will help it develop more red+sunlight tanning. Over a period of time, it will look stunning! :D

I don't know much bout tanning with natural UV sunlight, but from a reefing perspective, wouldn't the glass from the tank prevent UV rays from actually entering the tank?

to tell the truth it looks no different to my aro that has had no tanning lights or outside sun just 3 years of normal T8 lights and now 2 years of T5 bother turned on for 6 hours per day

colour just comes with age
