Hmm... looks a little over the top for me, but I've been wrong before. Can anyone recommend a movie where you have a real clash of the titans scenario? The best scenes are always between well accomplished martial artists. I loved watching Jet Li and Donnie Yen battle it out in Hero, Jet Li's battle with Jackie Chan in Forbidden Kingdom, Bruce Lee vs. Chuck Norris, etc.. I would love to have seen Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Donnie Yen, Gordon Liu, etc, make a movie together, that would be epic. I bought Iron Monkey last nite, going to see it tonite.

Gordon was in Last Hero in China and fought Jet Li's character

kung fu hustle is a movie you should enjoy. it's comedy/action but has a good story, good graphics and good fight scenes

this guy that donnie fights is a badass too. he plays club foot in the once upon a time in china movies. his name was seven in the last one for some reason

Thanks for the posting Sumo! I haven't heard of either of these movies but I will check them out. I would've liked to see less frills in Jet and Gordon's scene, I understand why they make the movies like that, but I would've like to see it with no wire, no fire, just years of dedication let loose on one another. I bet they did some off camera sparring during the shoot, that would've been cool to see. The guy fighting Donnie looks familiar, but I can't place from where.

Saw Iron Monkey this weekend, It was pretty good, a little exaggerated at times, but good. The kid was also really talented. I'd like to see more of Last Hero In China.

I personally prefer the more realistic martial arts movies as opposed to flashy acrobatics, I'm 15 and still like the original Karate Kid movie, A little childish but nice to see that it's in the realm of possibility. Plus Pat Nomura as Miyagi has some great quotes in the series.

glad you liked it, a lot of these movies are exaggerated but you gotta go into it with that in mind. that kid is a girl in real life in case you missed my post pointing that out.

this thread has made me realize i need to go and see a lot of these movies. i've never even seen all of Last Hero in China, only parts of it.

if you can, you may also wanna check out Bride with White Hair. there's part 2 also. it's not known for the martial arts stuff but it is a kung fu movie and i like the story.

While watching the Hero commentary, Jet made a reference to another movie he made with Donnie about 10 years prior to Hero, does anyone know the name of that movie??

Thanks Sumo! Yea I did miss that part about the kid being a girl. She's bad!! We'll see her again. Hey in Last hero In China, Jet and Gordon have other fight scenes other than the one you posted don't they??
