Need advice on a pump to make water changes WAY easier...

Ok. so my Dad came up with the idea of syphoning water out of my 180 down the toilet whilst filling the bath, then make sure the temp is ok, add conditioner and get a pump to fill my aquarium back up from the bath, right? So i basically need advice on a pump which would be good enough to pump water over my bath and across about 15 feet of floor then up 4 foot.. I've been looking at 3000 lph, but will that be strong enough? i dont want to waste money buying something that wont work or is an over kill. Hopefully ive given some other people ideas here too, because this for me would make water changes a doddle! no more buckets

If you get a python or similar system you can drain it wherever you want, and it just hooks straight to the faucet to refil the tank.

bought an aqueon water changer back in January, one of my best investments thus far lol. I was changing water with my 32 gallon trash can before.

problem is my water runs off gravity & it would never be able to lift the water to 4 feet, as the tank is around 4.5 feet high so it would trickle out :/. so old school lol

when i say tank is 4.5 feet i mean the water tank for the water the comes out of the tap.

Oh, i get it now. It works the same way a powerhead can suck air in? Yeah.. But how could I get my water back to my tank out of my bath? Sorry I dont fully understand how these work. This is the first I've heard about them, lol :L.

by useing watter thats in a filled tub. You will
1 have to worry bout soap residue.
2 clorine residue
3 just nasty residue. Wich all may or may not harm your fish. Somthing to think about.
You can buy a adapter that lets you screw a garden hose to your sink faucet. and use it for filling the tank.

After you drain your fishtank, you just flick the valve the other way on the aqueon waterchanger and your faucet pushes water throught the tube and into your fishtank directly to from you faucet. So you can maintain a perfect temperature
