With the water starting to get cool I have a feeling I wont be able to go collecting the rest of the year. Luckily my last trip to the Destin Jetties Friday was a good one. I ended with three doctorfish the size of a quarter, really cool, my first tang/surgeon fish species! Also brought home an urchin.
I saw many other nice fish but didnt try to catch anything else other then the tangs. Saw at least three different wrasse species including a blue head, two damsel species (beaugregory and cocoa), mangrove snapper, juvi lane snapper, juvi red snapper, mullet, tons of different kinds of baitfish, some BIG stone crabs (was pissed I didnt bring a cooler), and more.
Any cool SW natives any one else has collected?
Anyhow, I cant get a pic of the fish I caught but here is exactly what they look like.
