No. Fail.
what do you mean by no fail my 75 gallon tank and 30 gallon tank have clean water and Aian upside down catfish have a wide range of water that they can live in I had to do the same thing with my 75 gallon because the tank came with live fish

Using water from a cycled tank doesn't speed up the cycling process at all. The beneficial bacteria that break down ammonia and nitrites have to bind to a surface. They aren't free-swimming in the tank water. Using some media from a cycled tank might help.

The post below answered your question. Do you read everything or do you just read what you want to see.

Seriously man, I know your new at this, but get on the computer, Google everything out there regarding Cichlids, and learn. Then try raising them. :wall:

dude you make it hard for people to want to help you some of your questions are aquarium 101 and common sense. the sad part, the fish are the ones that end up suffering :(

the pearsei is doing much better and the catfish acts normal and is showing no sighs of stress but i won't do it again because i know. i got some chrismas money and i will use some of it to buy a benafishel bacteria i think they sell it do they i was going to use my own money to buy it i thought it would work well i was wrong but luckily ASIAN UPSIDE DOWN CATFISH ARE PRETTY HARDY i am doing my best and tomorrow i will buy some stuff for my fish what do you recamend me to buy to help the pearseui cichlid if anything would help and what should i buy for the 40 gallon it makes me sad that you do not think i care about my fish i was going to do a cool cichlid community in the 40 gallon but i put he Asian upside down catfish in there because my 75 gallon tank alredy had a 14 inch Oscar and a 12 inch pleco so i thought it would be good to use the 40 gallon for a fish that really needed it

Idk but this whole thread smells like a troll to me. I apologize if its not but im just reading and wondering what the heck the OP is doing?? lol Im no fish expert and by no means a genius but researching the basics of fish keeping is not that hard. I would suggest getting yourself a liquid test kit to be able to test your water qualities frequently if indeed your tank is still cycling (which after reading, i am guessing it still is). Ultimately i would say see if you can find someone that can hold your fish for you while you are learning about how to keep fish the right way. This will cause less stress on the fish and can save him from being stunted. If you cant i would sell him and buy the same species after you have done your research.

I'm a tad bit confused how you're so lost about this but you're handing out advice in other threads like it ain't no thang... I would add some salt and bump up the temperature a little. I don't know if anyone else does that but it always seemed to work for me when my fish get rough. I hope this helps you out.
