How exactly does it get out of the water area, though?

The handles of the bin help a lil,you can see it in the picture with the night light on.Thats how he slept all night,he gets out fine all around it,plus theres a 50 watt submergible turtle heater in there,to keep the water temps from drooping to low at night!! Oh yes & by the way Thank you i adore him!!

Cool! I wasn't sure if he was able to easily get out, but it sounds like he's doing just fine. About how long is he?

I haven't measured him yet,he's really snappy!!!Give me a bit & i'll find out he's weight & length.

He's feeding on cat food,yes i know,but it works,mostly salmon,trout,snails,so far.I had to try diverse food to see what he eats.I just got him yesterday, so tomorrow i'm gonna try smelt & crawfish.
