How many discus in a 5400 gallon tank?

nah discus are cooler. keeping a's in captivity is cruel unless you have a pond not a tank.

By all mean I'm not an expert, but think of This, the sellers are after profit and the buyers are after quality. If them laying on their sides were to harm them in anyway then both the buyer and seller would have a bad deal. Remember thee are kings of the aquarium. Their price are that of kings and we Have to treat them as such. No one here would want to harm a fish let alone some of the most expensive ones.

And yes I would have a problem Why an arowana in an inch of water. As they will jump out flop around a bit slap you a couple of times before you can put them back in water. :p

hahah no i totally gotcha now. we are all mature adults here and im glad we can handle it like this;). They better be treated like kings lol i mean look at them; they look like they should be sitting on a golden throne!!. thanks for clearing this all up lol, can you imgaine i seen that in real life in a petstore before this thread? hahah

breeders probably wont do that either unless the also sell them to a middle man. basically its to show the fish on it sides as if its tank shot depending on angles they can seem stunt this way you know what the fish looks like and their roundness

oh ok i understand, its basically the way that major breeders show people who can't be there to see the fish in person, what the fish will actually look like without any tricky angles.
