theres a reason why feeder goldfish sometimes end up outliving their intended predators, they are quite the hardy fish, thats why I have one in my daughter's room. It survived turtles, fully grown oscars and now has been moved to its own riparium style tank. Sadly this is my oldest fish and I only kept it because my wife didnt want to sell it.

"Hardiest" fish Ive had though, was a Jack Dempsey.
Before I went on my week long vacation, I cleaned out my tank but didnt realize that the Jack went under a big decor. So back from the trip and Im feeding my fishes and noticed he was missing, WTF. After a while of digging and searching I found him under the decor but he's also lodged in there somehow. I finally got him out and he looked tore up, but lives.
