That sucks that you lost the big guy. How are the other 2 are they acting funny as well? What are you feeding them?

I lost the smallest Xingu last night... Down to just one now but he seems to be doing fine. Deal is There are other cichla in the same tank and they are doing great.. Water's perfect all the way around..

I was feeding them mostly treated silver sides injected with Vid Chem and belly loaded with Hikari Carnivore Food Sticks, blood worms, krill, raw shrimp and only dropping the feeders they eat at night in one by one. The only thing I can think of is I recently moved them into bigger tank and they didn't adjust well apparently.. Now I need to get a few more..

Anyone know where I can some?

rough losses mp....im guessn the temp was the same on the bigger tank and you pulled media from their current tank...? And why feeders?

Yeah, the tank I moved them too was just another one of my grow out tanks that's been running with fish in it for over 6 months, so cycle wasn't a factor, Temp was the same between the tanks, set at 87 in both.. I do silver sides at their nightly feeding only, and those are all injected with Vid Chem and belly loaded with Hikari Carnivore Food Sticks. Reason for doing this is because the majority of their diet was frozen blood worms & brine shrimp... I used the loaded silver sides to complete their "power diet".. All treated of course and only fed what they ate in that sitting, so there were no feeders just swimming around their tank outside of feeding.... I believe I did everything right, and have done this with many other cichla with huge success in growth and coloration differences.. I'm unsure what to think really... I guess you cant win em all..

dude sorry for your loss..sucks losing fish..
