How about some average grade aro's at 1/3 of that price when it is legal to own one? The fish doesn't have to be perfect in every tiny details, or at T1's level of preference, to be a wonderful arowana

as long as it's pleasing to my eyes then definitely. i would love to get my hands on a super red at the moment but i know it's about 2000-2500$. if i can get it for 1200$ i would definitely consider it.

a green or a banjar is not much better than a jar and they are not the types people say i wish we could get them in the US for

a green and a banjar have boring colour if your going to have a aro then it may as well have colour

I don't think you do. Not everyone is like you on this level of risk taking. There are many arrests over the years for illegally owning aro's. Again, I will NEVER break the law for owning aro's no matter how much I love them. I am a mature man with a mountain of responsibility on my shoulder. About keeping your fish secret, it may work only for you. We have 3-4 birthday parties/year when we have 10-20 friends coming over, try to keep that a secret. And we're not going to change our lifestyle for keeping the fish.

Yes I know they are "illegal" and I've read many incidents/articles online on ppl getting jail time for Asian Aros in the US but mostly for "smuggling/importing/trafficking" the fish. I don't read much incidents or articles on ppl getting busted and jail time for just owning "one" ..Googled it and couldn't find one article on possession charges and jail time. Also u don't need to change your whole life style just for a fish. Just setup the Aro's tank in the basement in a room that no one else goes in and keep it locked. Simple fix. Again not encouraging ppl to do so

Crispy lives in Canada. Here is a price list for Asian Aros purchased directly from a farm in Asia. Add 150-200 bux on top of the original price for importing and shipping fees. Also take note Farms don't export individual Arowanas. They sell and export minimum orders of 50-100 avg. You live in the US so I dunno how much a green would be black market price.

Yeah I took note of his location which was why I asked how much they cost where he lives.....aside from all that other stuff with the farms and such,or do they not sell them in some stores in his area?...I'm not even interested in black market prices as I do not shop there.
