I saw a woman which did the usual asking what fish can go with which, and she then asked for some gouramis and stood there thinking looking at the guppies, and said "can you keep blue colour guppies with different colour guppies?" I thought this was hilarious as I used to do the same thing when I was 10 with my first 10 Gallon tank! haha!

Not a LFS customer story...but a face palm moment nonetheless.
I work at a bead and jewellery store, we mostly sell the bits and pieces to make it yourself but we do have some finished jewellery and other things for sale.
So we decided to put our copper jewellery displays on sale. They are racks that have space for either necklaces or bracelets to hang and spots to hang earrings from. We posted a picture on our facebook page as well as sent out an email letting people know that they were 50%. WOW! Good deal!
Well, the customer in question walks into the store yesterday and says "Where is the copper jewellery that is 50% off?" so I explained that we didn't have any jewellery on sale at this point. She goes on to say "Well I saw on the facebook that the copper jewellery was on sale, but I couldn't see what the jewellery looked like. I think you took a picture of an empty rack."

One time I was buying a juvy oscar (about 1.5 inches) and 2 juvy JD's (about an inch,) and the clerk was like... you know, 1 day that Oscar is going to eat those 2 little guys. I just wanted to warn you! I told her that I'll take my chances and I promise that I won't ask for a refund on the fish.
lol went to a LFS in Sydney City.... this lady walks up to the tanks..and asks the guy working "Which one of these fish can be kept in a bowl" *pointing to literally everything on display... African Cichlids, Americans, COMETS, goldfish lmaooo
I dunno, seemed really funny to me...especially when the worker at the store replies .... "none of em" and just ignores her and starts talking to me again LOL ! Sorry if i sound mean...but was funny!!

People are just so stupid. Everywhere you go. Maybe that's why I'm antisocial. I have some stories about employees and customers but I don't work at a lfs. I went to petsmart looking for sponge filters and the girl was completely clueless. Had not one clue so I had to educate her! But she was pretty cute so I let it fly 
. And another employee asked what size tank I had when I bought my midevil and I said 70 and she was amazed. Biggest tank she has ever heard of just in awe. I almost walked away but I wanted the fishy!
