Is This A Red Texas Cichlid?

this, right above, is a Flowerhorn.

If you are saying that this "flowerhorn" fish is a Red Texas than you would be correct. It is 100% Red Texas. As for the quality I can't say as I am not an aficionado of hybrids. What I can tell you is I shot this photo at one of the largest importers of tropical fish on the east coast. They sell only wholesale. It is a Red Texas cichlid.

THey had some really nice stuff. Not to derail, but I like these paltinum jewel fish.

That platinum jewel is awesome! I agree with Troy, thats a Flowerhorn you posted Mojo and not a Red Texas. It may have Carpintis in it (which I don't see) but that wouldn't necessarily make it a Red Texas.

Chris...believe what you want. The reputation of this importer is impeccable. They specialize in rare and hard to find fish. Again...I'm sot a hybrid guy, but I do have a lot of faith in people I trust. I have to be honest...if I was going to get one, it would be one of these. The adult specimens are beautiful.

Eddie...does this look like a Red Texas to you? Talk soon bro.
