Any CCW permit holders out there?

Had my CCW for about 3 years now, I carry a sub-compact springfield XD .40 cal. I love it. It's small enough that I can conceal it under shorts and a tshirt. And it has all the "blind" indicators on it so when I have it on my nightstand at night, i can run my hand over it and know if it is cocked and loaded without turning a single light on.

Walther PPS 9mm with winchester ranger hollow points. High noon in the waist band holster. I have a wife and kids. If I remained defenseless, one man with one weapon could have all power over us. I carry so that I have options. May America remain free enough for the law abiding citizens to maintain his own safety and liberty if necessary.

Well said and bolded incase anyone missed it.

I have had my permit for the better part of the past ten years now but I rarely carry these days. When I do though I usually go with my H&K P7 which I got in a trade for my Desert Eagle .44Magnum.... I still have the holster for the Dessy in case you don't have and/or might happen to be interested in one.

Good trade, got any pics of the P7?

I carry mostly a KT P32 these days because Im usually in shorts, T-shirt and flip flops. But if I go to an area that is prone to more crime, I live in a rural beach town so there is hardly any crime here, I carry my G19 in a Comptac Minotaur. When I go to really seedy areas such as Orlando to visit the inlaws I always have a rifle in my vehicle.

The most important thing while carrying is to avoid confrontations as much as possible. Dont shoot that crappy driver the bird, say your sorry to some one you accidently bump into at the mall, and leave the bar if some young punk is hitting on your woman.

Go by the words of President Theodore Roosevelt, "Speak softly and carry a big stick."

Thanks, the Desert Eagle is big and flashy but not really practical.I do kind of miss it though.I have pictures of the P7 in an earlier gun thread around here but your request gives me an excuse to finally get around to trying out some pictures from the new phone.

I don't understand,if it is not required then why is there a class for the permit?

Not in every state you dont, Indiana is one of them.

I thought he was referring to his home state only. Here in Pennsylvania, specifically Philadelphia ,we don't have to attend classes either.

I'm not sure why they dont, doesnt make any sense to me. Any Tom, Dick or Harry can go and get a gun to carry concealed, even if they never shot a gun or any prior practice as long as they pay the money and their background is clean.
