I will stick with the same things I have been keeping for the past 10 years

P14 they are still banned from export and that's what I like in 10 years I have only had 6 the 1st trio I bred myself kept two females from that litter then had to let the trio go to the big mega tank in holland were they are still swimming free and happy I even got to see them last year

Find what you like and stick with them I only let my 1st trio go as I didn't have the tank space at the time

I'm not a buyer and seller I have had marbles henlei
Flower and tigers need a 2000 gal + so I'm not moving from p14

Not all tigers get this big.

Got that information from the guy in your pic, Raul.

Many female leos seem to stop growing when they reach 60 cm across.

Still, you and find pics online that show 90 cm + specimens.

They all stop growing for a bit but given the right size tank and right food no reason why a 8 year old ray can't reach the right size

I was told p14 only get to 16-18 inch disk that's wrong

Unless you know the genetics of each ray no one can say the adult size

Tigers CAN get to that size and that's a good enough reason for me not to buy any

You have a 1250 gal tank if you do get a tiger that out grows your tank not many people will be willing to buy a ray that size as they won't be able to house it

Right size? ;)

The max size of a fish only repressents a few individuals within the species.

Most of their relatives simply do not have the genes nesseary to reach that particular size.

The aquarium water also plays a very big factor (not so much the actual space).

Still, like you say, if you are not prepared to house that one possible giant, then dont buy any specimens at all.
