Not a problem. The taste in flowerhorn depend on yourself. Since FH is hybrid...it depends on taste. But no offence sir, being in california, its easy to say that.... you guys literally have no regulations.

I could live in Cali and get 10 times better quality fh than what I have now. Its about the location and value of the fish in your location. You pay how much for a saratoga Jaradini? We pay $30 here lol....

It all depends on the quality for the location. And I must disagree, I have kept fish for a long time...and have seen to many flowerhorns... I pretty much know mine is a high quality KML, might not be the HIGHEST, but I know its above decent.

And in Californa you guys can import directly from thailand or vietnam... even though 80% of the fh there are injected with hormones to make it look good for you guys in Cali and USA lol...but like I said, FH cant be found in Australia as the ones you have in Cali.

And about the forum? People do share real thoughts, I have had criticism for this fish also, so its just how you handle it and how you think of your fish.

Do you really believe that a lot of flowerhorns are injected with hormones(keep in mind hormones food doesn't do zit if the genetic ladder itself isn't there)? So maybe their kok/nuchal hump is injected with silicones as well? Many people here breed flowerhorns and there are many cases where flowerhorns here individually can at least take 1st Runner Up overall open class on International Flowerhorn Competition/Show. So what does that suppose to mean, we inject our fish with hormones too?
P.S. - Jardini here runs an average of $50.00 - $60.00; is it that big of a difference?

Demand and supply...heard of it? In Aus we cant get majority of the fish you have there. So really i find your comments local based and comming from ignorance.

In which line did i say . "paying more, makes a fish better". I meant, where a fish literally has no supply but high demand... the levels of quality will differ from opinions in Australia to the opinions in usa i.e. where supply for fh has no shortage.

Just stop. Calling someone else's fish low quality when they think it's high quality is pointless. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, and if he thinks his fish is grade AAA or whatever breeders in Asia use to grade their fish, who are you to tell him otherwise? Yes, I may call fish low grade when I see it, but that's MY opinion. Jay is new, and misinformed. Don't use this as an excuse to ridicule him.

When it comes to a heated discussion, I always see the degree of loyalty our hobylists are into Flowerhorn, as long as we are not aiming at personal attack, and I don't see it here yet until I read the word 'Just Stop", discussion is how we keep the flowerhorn forum alive. Comparing to the MFK flowerhorn forum, I see other forum's traffic are decreasing, some others are even dead quiet. Yelling 'Just Stop' is telling our members to stay away, and after yelling 'Just stop' and then blabla for another 4 lines is telling us that you are funny.
Anyways, I think this discussion is not pointless, it brought up some considerable questions, and answers to flowerhorn value standards, and other future subjects. I personally think that when value flowerhorn qualities should be standardlized, as when we judge in any international sport even for instance, it doesn't matter you are Asian, Australian, or... you just have to bring your values up to meet the set standard guildlines to win. So when the Op brought his questionable 1st Kamfa Malau to this forum, we should not be asked to put ourself into his place (Australia), because it will be impossible for us to do that, nor as we cann't ask him to put himself into our place (California) to understand his flowerhorn qualities. True, the op's fish is not a low quality flowerhorn, and I see quite a few members here had praised his quality, however, since we are members, 'who are you' to tell people to not to voice opposite opinions?
