I kept my bp's at 76 degrees for a while until I found out they do better at 82-84 I haven't noticed a difference in their color or behavior, so.. Idk.

I doubt it. The fish can survive in it, but there's always an ideal temp. We can survive in 30 degree weather but do we prefer it? And how long could we survive it?
