WC Kelberi not feeding! Ideas?!

Are you sure he actually ate them? The Feeders may have gotten threw the divider and got eaten by the other cichla. I will also try some market shrimp and tilapia, And post a pic of your setup and fish just for some eye candy :) Good luck!

Mine just ate 8 river shrimp but still being fussy.
Thats good mate. Im gonna fatten him up on feeders then introduce him to the mob :)

I saw him eat :) poor goldfish didnt have a chance!
 
Is he any bigger than the Kel in the shop Jay? - I was tempted by one today and he was quite large to be honest.

If you're going to feed a few feeders try and keep them quarantined for a bit and feed them some good quality food save anything breaking out - think i heard gold fish are a big to fatty aswel - maybe something else could be use?

Goldfish are fatty mate yes but im just giving him a good feed on anything he will take. Once he's downed a couple of these he is going into general population lol and he should convert to pellets once he see's the others pounding them.

He is 9" head to tail. There was a larger one (10") but it had a damaged mouth.
