I don't know the collection point.
Feb thru today, I've gone heater-less, so the temps ranged from high 60s into 70s winter and spring, now getting into the mid to upper 70s.
I believe that has allowed 12 beani to grow up in a 150 gal with minimal aggression.
The spawn has altered that a bit.

As you may know I had a pair come down with columnaris last summer when temps hit the upper 80s.
Because of that experience, I have avoided using a heater.
Acute columnaris seems to be on the rise these days, and I don't know if it is a result of, the excess use of antibiotics, or a recessive gene unleased by hybridization. I see that it is very common in flowerhorns, hence my suspected connection. But there I go ramblin again.
