UPDATE!
Well, it has been a while coming. I had been pretty busy between messing with the tank, family and school work so I had not been able to get any updates as I did them. I will start with the aquascaping. I put a couple Java ferns in the tank to begin with and I really liked the way live plants made the tank look so I added 3 Amazon swords which I also liked. Since I fist posted and someone (MRC) said that the right hand of my tank kinda looked empty, I decided that I had to agree. I went on vacation in Missouri and while i was there I was browsing craigslist and found a guy that had Jungle Val for sale. I scooped up 3 smaller Vals and one 2 ft Val and put them in the tank on the right side. I also bought a type of Crypt that I placed on the left in front of the dark rock. Here is the result.
I really like how it is looking now.
Next up is the stock. I finally received my Red Head Tapajos, and they are doing great. They move around the tank all day sifting the sand and when I walk up to the tank the beg like little puppies for food. As soon as I put them in the tank, even though they are about an inch long, they kicked one of the Pictus out of his cave and had claimed most of the tank as their own. The Pictus now stay under the piece of wood in the "Honeymoon Suite" area unless it is feeding time. Here are some pics of the 6 Geo Dudes.
So now for the main attraction lol. I had been looking for a Gold Saum for awhile and even though most people think that I am nuts, nobody around my area had any. A guy I know said that he saw on a local breeder Facebook group that a guy had 20 to 30 Juvi Saums and was giving them away to make room for another breeding project. I contacted him and asked if he had any males for a tank I was working on stocking. He said that he had a 2.5 inch male that he would give me. I was kind of worried about getting a dud but I went to take a look at him. When I got there I was really pleased. I think he is closer to 3 to 3.5 inches, has a BIG orange seam on his tail and some great looking finnage. He also looks like a hump may be forming but I will let you guys be the judge of that. Anyway here is your intro to my Gold Saum named Shamrock.
To top it all off I took a short vid of the tank. Make sure to bump it up to 720p! It jumps around on 1080P so I would just back it off a notch.

Hope you guys like what I have going so far! Thanks for looking
