I wasn't gonna say it but since you did.. I think we can pretty much write off anything Andrew says about tanks and any time he asks for advice since just about everything he says will happen doesn't and any advice we give him that doesn't fit in with what he wants to do he just ignores..

Yeah i have noticed that. We all have dreams and thought. Me and my buddy talk about this stuff all week at work. We take each others advice and see what we end up with maybe half the time we change directions before everything gets put in place it all part of the fun

No two separate tanks

Now let me stop you at that. You have two oscars, two JD, two or three plecos and a breeding pair of convict in a 55gal. Plus you have a snapper turtle in a 10gal. You need more than just one 55gal tank. One for turtle, one for breeding JDs, one for convicts, a 125gal for oscars and plecos, few smaller tanks for fry.

I'm probably gonna get rid of the convict pair. They are always going insane and beating the crap out of everything else. I'll keep the jds in this, might sell the oscars, and I'll get a 150 stock pond for the turtle. I have one sitting around in NJ. The snapper will go in a 55 or a pond as soon as he's 2" more than likely gonna end up putting him in my basement until he's like 5" then he'll go outside

How big should he be to be able to defend himself against nature's animals? Like racoons, squirrels, and opposing?

"Probably" and "Might"???? Seems that you can't makes up of your mind.

You don't think other baby snappers won't survive in the wild at that size? Even adult snappers are not immune to the predation and the human causes.

Oh I see. Why dont you put the snapper back where it belongs...
