Depressed, should I give away my fish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
sorry about your situation bro. its happened to all of us and yes it sucks. i personally would use this time to focus on taking care of your fish to get your mind off the other... your fish will actualy appritiate the attention you give them. feeding and doing a wc is less effort than catching and transporting the fish anyway.

great advice.. i agree... staying busy is what you need...... and before you know it your pain will fade away... And life will be worth living again......keep active!!!!!

Google champsochromis deep water hap and check this fish out. One reason to stay in the hobby. Set your goal on a large tank and some deep water haps.

i say just nut up and move on. broads are a dime a dozen. as for your setup, keep it and if you want to just change your stock if you don't want a reminder of her that may be an idea but i'd try to keep what you already have and just move on. don't let her win in making you feel like crap. get outta bed get cleaned up and start kicking it with some friends and go hit the streets and you'll find a girl down to hit the sheets.

Young Man you are 19!!! There is no way in the world the girl you chose at 17 was going to be the women you married later in life. I didn't get married until 34 and had many relationships that I though were the one but turned out to be not the one.

Biggest mistake I ever made in my young life was turning down a radio gig for who I thought was "The One". My advice is keep the fish and care for them because after all they are all you got. Time will heal all the other wounds and get out the house pimpin. Your young go out and see the world while you can. Strip Clubs, Night Clubs, Pool Halls, weekend trips with your boys, College parties ... your time is now. Don't be one of the young kats that settle down early and then cheat on their wife and ruin your life because they never got the chance to do young man stuff.

Hear hear!

Saddle up, mount back up ( i know its the end of your life, nothing is worth going on ) but, you know, tomorrow the sun will be up again and life goes on.

Primarily, do not, ever, feel sorry for yourself. The worst mistake one can do.

And, as the young know it all farts in here, ( and they should know ) say, lassies are a dime a dozen!

It's not fun but doing maintenance on my tanks or messing with them cheered me up when I got dumped

Step 1: clean fish
Step 2: take shower and put on sick shirt and pants with boss shoes
Step 3: call wingmen
Step 4: hit up da clubs and find outlet
Step 5: get back home
Step 6: wash off night of bad assnes with strong session of Halo 4/CoD

Agreed.

I love my wife and wouldn't want to picture my current life without her.

But when I was 19 I would of never wanted some chick (because in reality at that point in your life that is what they all should be) slowing my roll. I'm assuming you live at home right?

Here's how your priorities at 19 should look like.

1st - School
2nd - Work .. unless your parents pay for school but it's good to have your own $$
3rd - Your Fish - No explanation needed
4th- Your Boys - Round trips, gaming, sporting events, partying
5th - Casual Dating - Just so you don't get rusty with the ladies

I hate to see young people down on themselves because life is so much more than what these Bruno Mars songs have you believe. Download Sugar Free's "Street Gospel" and listen to it while cleaning your tank. Trust Me.

Fishnthehood has some good advice and Suga Free is one of the GOATs
Take a shower man. Now's the time for an upgrade.
