Awesome parents...simply awesome. Don't forget about how heavy a 300 glass fish tank is, it took 8 strong guys to move mine and it was no easy task. Keep this in mind when looking at the bigger tanks. It always looks good until you have to move it lol.

Wow 8 guys for a 300g? It took 4(we work out)of us to lift a 375g glass 8 x 2.5 x 2.5 but with suction cups. Easiest way to move heavy glass tanks is to use these 1000lb capacity furniture dollies which u can pick up at Home Depot. Only lifting involved would be getting it on or off the stand.

Here was my old 450g (800+ lb tank) on furniture dollies when I sold it and delivered it to new owner. 6 of us lifted this tank.

Also sell strap harnesses (no, not shiny black leather ones dirty minded mofo's lol) that wrap to your shoulders n take nearly half the weight off back n knees. On brand calls then 'moving men'. Something to look into if moving larger tank when dolly not an option

Yeah the guys I had helping were probably pretty average middle aged guys lol. I don't really think 2 or 3 of them were actually lifting either. I forgot to add that we had to move it down a flight of stairs which was the most work by far... We did use the dollys to get it to the stairs though and they helped a ton. We also tried the straps but it was easier to just use the dollys although I believe we used the straps to get it off the trailer and onto the dollys. I've also heard the suction cups help a ton as well but I couldn't get a hold of any.

The take home lesson is the more help the better and the safer and good luck if you need to move it downstairs.

If that's the width of a 180 I would say your good

8x2x1.5 is a 180. I would go bigger if you are allowed to go up to 300. Can you buy a 120 also beacuse you didn't go 300?
