Very generous parents! The biggest tank I've ever had is my 75. They got that for me about 20 years ago, I thought at the time it was a big tank. Now it looks so small. If you can get a 200-300, go for it and good luck!

75 might not be as big as 120s and 180s but they aren't small at all, they are big IMO

Not a bad deal... for filtration I would do some px canisters that are the largest 265 gallon rating... for heat I would do at lest 2 300 watt heaters...
 
Update: ended up going with a 180 for $400 plus $100 for them to ship it. I had some good offers but after driving two hours to see the see the 265 i was disappointed. the whole tank was FUBAR, cracked and scratched terribly, and needed new calking. however, not as bad as the the 450G i was offered for $800 which was missing an entire panel of glass. anyways, i got the tank, stand, two eheim 2217's and glass lids. I've been using a 3 foot light and a 2 foot light i just had laying around. its coming together so far.
