Is this a good price for an Asain aro?

Hi, I went to an exotic fish store that specializes in selling asain aros. Since i'm not the richest guy, I was eyeing at the "cheapest" asain aros which happened to be some regular 5 inch "banjar reds". They were on sale I think and the store was asking for $199 bucks. IMO, that looks pretty reasonable after seeing some other aros of the same size such as the "chilli reds" selling for $800. They look the same at that too (colour and everything). lol. I'm no expert in prices is 200 bux for an asain aro that size a good deal. I while back, I saw a juvi Green aro fetching for 180 bux. I thought that was a steal!

opinion? this is in canada!
 
I would find out how much he sells RTG red tail golden Arowana for, if it is not too much more I would go with that option. I had a red banjar it was a great character much more of a character than my xback but red banjar get dull in colour when they get older. RTG is best Arro bang for your buck . $199 seams like a good price for red banjar .
 
For a Banjar iwould say it is not expensive.

But, as said, Banjar are arguably the worst looking ( perosnnaly i prefer a Greeen ). Chech out prices for the RtG

they have two HBRTG for $449 a few weeks ago, but it was sold and picked up! xD

I work next to that fish store, I get to check them out everyday! :D
 
why are banjars ugly? Is it just the color or the shape?

what do you think is the aro best worth getting ( and affordable)? My budget is somewhere between 200 to 300. The cheaper the better. lol
Does lucky's aquarium have good prices or is there a better store out there?
