Your opinions on fish that can go with a catfish

Most catfish end up as boring aquarium fish, I have a syno cat, though I know where he hides, I typically don't see much of him. In the same tank I got a stripped Raphael cat about a month ago, I've only spotted him once while cleaning. I had an albino channel cat as a kid, grew quick and ate 100 bucks worth of fish. However I strongly recommend the pictus cats. They are hardy and great for beginners, they mix well cichlids and are fairly common at lfs's. also they don't mind eachother at all, I keep one solo but have heard they prefer to school up between 4 and 6.

If you want to do a catfish only tank, if suggest two or three iridescent sharks. They are active swimmers, come in an albino form, and are just all around fun fish to watch. They get really big though so you would be able to keep them perminantly in a 75.

wtf is a common lake catfish ? latin please and as most cats are armoured aslong as there of compatible size ie both fish cant swallow each other and a reasonable nature ie not fowlleri etc all should be well

There's one in top picture...the one with the ruler. I take it that you never caught a bullhead before?
