Yes I can and he looks good. Some of the red will fade as he gets bigger but not all. An additional warning if you go the pond route, they can fly if scared. One of mine went sailing about five feet out into the yard when they first went in. They also like to taste test things so no cords or tubes in the water.

I am moving in a year and unfortunately will have to rehome all my fish and my families. ): hopefully I can give him to a member on here and he will go to a good home.

Good luck. There used to be a place in Tampa that took them in but they closed. If you're in this area you might try Lowry Park zoo.

Just an update on him. (I have to go to my phone to post the pictures). His growth has slowed but he still eats a ton. How's he looking?? Sorry the pictures are pretty blurry.

It's a 220 gallon. I don't think I'll be keeping it into adult hood because of my other fish. As soon as he gets big enough to harm my other fish ill rehome him but if he behaves nicely with my other fish ill keep him as long as I can. These are my other fish and I think he might kill some if them. If needed I will rehome my Gourami and Rainbow fish to my brothers 55 gallon community tank. He is the youngest fish in my tank so hopefully he won't be super aggressive. All my other fish are about half a year old.
1 Fire Eel
1 BGK
2 ID Sharks
3 Angels
1 Rainbow Shark
1 Bichir
1 Eclipse Catfish
1 Silver Dollar
1 Dwarf Gourami
3 Blood Parrots
1 Common Pleco
1 Bristle Nose Pleco
2 Rainbow Fish

sometimes pacus raised with other fish will not become aggressive to other fish even though they are smaller.. just make sure you feed him a veggie diet with a little protein pellets as treats.. they are primarily vegetarians... and unless someone swims into his mouth i don't think he will have a problem.. of course all fish have different personalities but this is how it turned out for me with my two pacus.. i kept a little african in with them and pacus were 28 inches...... good luck with your new baby... i have two new babies too.

Interesting vanimal how your pacu is slowing down in growth. I just gave away my albino that I had for 1 month and he grew from 6-9" in the time.

Liz we need an update on your pacus with pics :)
