My New Red Belly Pacu

My 2 cents. When it gets larger, have plants and decorations at the sides of the tank against the glass so he slows down. A 4" wide pacu can crack your tank no problem. Aside from that, I've fed pacus the frozen emerald entree from hikari with success. Also I've fed the marine seaweed pellets.

I love it when ppl get all hot and bothered on this forum about the same topics over and over... The guy is just asking a question, and as someone else mentioned he's not cramming the thing into a 10 gal. For every pacu owner on here there are twenty people with a RTC or RTC hybrid in a 55 gal.

Good luck with the fish... How about a couple pics? Maybe a fts?

Mine did too the first month now he is about two months old and 8 or so inches. Definitely not stopped but not at the 6" a month rate ;)

I'm rehoming him this summer so I'm hoping it won't happen in the next few months. Hopefully I can get so somebody on this site to take him off my hands.

But these same people themselves are over stocking lol. That rbp looks tiny in that tank and will enjoy at least another year to come in it.


Op enjoy it while you have him, great fish, and a pond will be really cool, nice tank btw!
