Well that's a good way for them to get out of being liable...What driver would actually admit that he messed up on someone's package?

I found an entire online forum dedicated to complaints on ups. Seems like my problem is way to common. From now on I'm requesting ups

In my experience UPS isn't any better also as far as I know claims can only be made by the shipper and the shipper get's the money if they're extremely lucky. I personally don't know anyone whose gotten money back on any claim they made. Guaranteed by 10:30A.M. is a joke because I've even called them and the tracking still showing that the package wasn't delivered till 3P.M. and even with that proof and a pic of a crushed box leaking water with dead fish in it they wouldn't accept responsibility. I refused to sign for the package called the complaint in sent them pics and they said there's no guarantee on delivery time or condition of the package. I asked then what does the guarantee on the tracking page guarantee and they just promptly hung up on me. Repeated calls kept getting rerouted to "other supervisors and complaint departments" and then I'd mysteriously get disconnected.

I live in the Bronx in the projects and despite living only 1.3 miles from the Fed EX and UPS fleets(I know because I used to get dispatched from Cablevision in that area as I was a repair tech and that whole area is strictly commercial fleets) that happened on a regular to me. It happened to all my neighbors too late packages, damaged packages or exceptions stating no one was home when they where. It finally stopped when I recorded UPS trucks leaving the depot for several days and several trucks dropping packages and other trucks following closely behind accidently running them over. Then recorded myself the next day waiting for a package showing the guaranteed by 10:30A.M. status showing it get "delivered" at 10:29A.M. signed for by Kolt and me not having the package. I got my package at 4:23P.M. exactly that day, all recorded on my HD Zx 1. Which means not only did they not meet the guaranteed delivery time the driver forged my signature. So I told them(UPS specifically this time) I would follow up with a local report to the channel 12 news and legal action if it ever happened again and would use that recording as well as future recordings I planned on making.

So I went a little bit off the deep end, but man they where playing with my fish and playing with my fish is like playing with my emotions.

Lol! Thanks I was just frustrated because at that time I was having fish delivered almost weekly and between the worrying about live arrival and staying outside to meet the drivers as the intercomm. in my building didn't work I went off. Plus I don't like that the Projects seem to get treated differently than the rest of my area in general when it comes to deliveries and certain other services.

I liked the video of the UPS guy stealing, that was funny.
And I like the threat koltsix but I totally would have gone to their corporate office and asked why your signature was forged.

I've never had issues with UPS or Fedex. USPS however is a huge pain and they never update their tracking.

I walked into the Fleet office with these complaints as I was tired of always getting hung up on(disconnected). I also did wind up asking about the forgery and got the run around. They said only the system generated tracking said that it had been signed for but that was the only record of it, that it must've been some computer generated error. It how ever wasn't the first time I had it happen with the forgery, but held my tongue and complaints in the past as I didn't receive many packages and was really busy accumulating OT at my job. With out past proof I just let it go.

Some of my friends live just outside the Projects in houses and have never had a real problem with either service. It seems to be a problem in my experience with the Projects only in my area. What's funny is I've rarely had a problem with USPS again I live less than 2 miles away from the post office so that might be a contributing factor to my good dealings with USPS. Though I do agree with their tracking being updated slowly. Some times an update will appear 2 hours after the postman/woman supposedly updated the tracking. Like the package will leave the post office at 7A.M. and that info won't post till 9A.M.

Thats why we need to save the post office. I used to buy stuff weekly on ebay and never had a missing package with usps. But I've had a couple problems with fedex and ups. If the post office goes out of business like the conservatives are planning, package prices are going to go way up and service is going to get even suckier because ups and fedex can't handle the extra work. They can barely handle the packages they have now.

Politics and fish threads don't mix...

And no, USPS is not much better, and with attitude to match. Deliveries to companies are much safer. Havn't lost one thing since I switched my shipping address.
