In my experience UPS isn't any better also as far as I know claims can only be made by the shipper and the shipper get's the money if they're extremely lucky. I personally don't know anyone whose gotten money back on any claim they made. Guaranteed by 10:30A.M. is a joke because I've even called them and the tracking still showing that the package wasn't delivered till 3P.M. and even with that proof and a pic of a crushed box leaking water with dead fish in it they wouldn't accept responsibility. I refused to sign called the complaint in sent them pics and they said they there's no guarantee. I asked then what does the guarantee on the tracking page guarantee and they just promptly hung up on me.
I live in the Bronx in the projects and despite living only 1.3 miles from the Fed Ex and UPS fleets(I know because I used to get dispatched from Cablevision in that area as I was a repair tech and that whole area is strictly commercial fleets) that happened on a regular to me. It happened to all my neighbors too late packages, damaged packages or exceptions stating no one was home when they where. It finally stopped when I recorded them leaving the depot for several days and several trucks dropping packages and other trucks following closely behind accidently running them over. Then recorded myself the next day waiting for a package showing the guaranteed by 10:30A.M. status showing it get "delivered" at 10:29A.M. signed for by Kolt and me not having the package. I got my package at 4;23P.M. exactly that day, all recorded on my HD Zx 1. Which means not only did they not meet the guaranteed delivery time the driver forged my signature. So I told them(UPS specifically this time) I would follow up with a local report to the channel 12 news and legal action if it ever happened again and would use that recording as well as future recordings I planned on making.
So I went a little bit off the deep end, but man they where playing with my fish and playing with my fish is like playing with my emotions.
