^ Wow that is impressive.

Liz maybe ones breed here will socialize if started at a young age. The ones used to gard livestock are a different story. Google them. They are one of my favorite breeds and a bucket list dog for sure. I saw them work when I was stationed in Turkey years ago they were very scary up close. Magnifacent anamals.

i would love to have one.......

Go get one Lizz. get a 2 months old, well socialized pup!
Must be loads of responsible breeder over there.

http://www.esquirecaucasians.com/caocomp.html This site is a breeder of the Caucasian "Russian" type.

Here's some info Liz to compair the two types. The longer haired "Russian" type Miguel posted in the first picture he put up and the "Turkish" type in the video. I would expect to pat between 1500 and 3000 depending on the breeder and the blood line. Like any other other large dog the life expectancey would be ~9 to 12 years.

Imho, Tom, you are aiming at too high a life expectancy with these breeds.....

In my experience, of course being kept outside as i do, they age faster.....

Absolutly, I agree an outside working dog's life expectancy will be less on average. My life expectancy referance was based on a family pet so I would expect a longer averave life expectancy under those conditions. Wouldn't you agree?
