Heh. This is kinda disturbing. Just for grins my GF and I went to a big chain store the other day to see if there where any deco/chem/misc stuff on sale. While there, I noticed a container full of snails on their little cart. I asked the person if they would sell them to me as I knew what they where doing with them and took a chance that they weren't already poisoned in that little container. The person said no, then turned to another customer and bla bla bla " the gold fish are in there (looks to see where I am and make sure that I can't over hear her) to eat the snails" I chuckled out loud, turned to my GF and said "we should sell our gold fish and koi we have the only ones on the face of the earth that won't eat snails!!" Kinda loud so the whole store could hear me. Long story short I ended up WAY overpaying for 2 tiny angelfish that where the only two in the tank that wernt dead/dying. Still in qt and one still not eating. Chain stores are the worst place to get livestock IMO. Good for tank sales and clearance, but that's about it. But also a bias opinion as the lfs I went to sold me a full stock list to cycle a tank with, and I only lost one cardinal tetra to what looked like bloat... After the tank was cycled... Water changes every other day work miracles.
