34'' Tigrinus on Aquabid!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
On my screen, the ruler in the pic ruler is 37 mm. The fish is 115 mm. If the ruler is exactly 12", this makes the fish 37". I agree with Bassfisher91 - the poster appears to be a serious, earnest monster-fish keeper and an honest seller.

I don't exactly how you did your math but just by looking you can the cat is twice the length of the ruler even at that angle. If it was 37" the ruler would be a third of the fish. I honestly don't even think tigs exceed 30"

Everything I'm reading says 24". Even planet catfish says 19.7"

I measured the '12" ruler' in the pic (by putting my ruler next to the '12" ruler' on the screen) and then measured the length of the cat (by putting my ruler next to the fish on the screen). Multiply the ratio by 12" and get the result. If you do that, what do you get?

I tend to agree with you as a 3' tig is rather unheard of, but one cannot fight the evidence presented, short of going to Tampa and measuring for yourself.

"Even" is not applicable to PCF. It is the opposite. They are very strict and conservative and careful when it comes to measurements. Clear and firm evidence is absolutely needed for PCF to update the max size and most usually, someone needs to champion it and put effort into it, unless it comes from a trustworthy scientific publication.

3 feedback scores? I dont think so...SCAM!!!!!

You can't judge a scam off feedback scores. I use aqua bid sell fish, but I only have 1 feedback score there. I only have a couple feedback scores on this site. All my fish are legit and in great health.

I can't be able to do it on my phone. I've personally never heard of one exceeding 26". As for PCF I've noticed that they generally smaller measurements

Ive been trying to get my hands on a juvie for awhile now... no luck

OSA (Ocean State Aquatics) has some for sale @ 6" right now if you're looking seriously. They are a vendor on here.

Everything I'm reading says 24". Even planet catfish says 19.7"

They definitely get over the planet catfish stated max, it probably just hasn't been updated in a long time. There are several members on here that have had 2ft+ ones and I know of a few that have been brought in by Raul of Neotropical Fauna and ECZS in the past that have been near that size. OSA also had a 2ft+ I think for sale not that long ago
