That sucks bro...I have 6 festae ive been growing out for awhile now, all about 4 to 4.5 inchs now...what would you do differently to keep them alive...

I consider Cichla to be Cichlids so I would agree Cichla Fogo is the most desirable. Anyone who keeps Cichla would sell their first born for one haha.

Number one on my list is a Location Z Umbee! Then Haitiensis, Istlanum Green, Istlanum Red, and Gorillus Black

If every hobbyist had one you would still need to cull every single one from lfs wholesalers not mention any ferals. Making hobbyist only keep f0 will only work if there was no idiot anywhere buying a midevil from petsmart to mix with his f0 or catching a huge canal male to mate with his wild female.
