I am getting a dslr today so I will be able to take a lot better pictures and videos now. I will have to make an armatus grow out thread later but both my armatus like to stay on the opposite side of my currents. They don't really move much and today I noticed both armatus hitting the pellets but spitting it out.
Im trying to find a vatf to add to this pack as well as a fatf which I know lots of venders have right now. So I'll wait to get my vatf first.
COMEON GIVE UP YOUR VATF! I pay in taft or armatus!
Looking good, how long was the process of getting them on pellets?
The first day I brought them home they were already eating my prepared smelt (long and slim cut in shapes of rosy reds). I put in all my current on one side and thre the food where the current was to make it look like swimming fish. After a week all the tigers were readily eating the smelt. Then I switched to market shrimp for a week, cut them in small circular chunks. I threw in the food on the same side of the tank everyday. I used a cup half filled with the tank water mixed in with the food and then poured it in the tank to get their attention. After a week of that someone suggested pellets and to my surprise they hit the pellets the first time i dumped it in. it took about 3 days for all of them to get used to the food (spitting it out, starring at it). I forgot to mentioned at first I soaked the pellets in a cup for 2-3 minutes, but now it doesn't matter the instant in throw it in they all eat it whether its hard or soft. Here is a video of the process that I posted before:

You're getting a really nice characin collection going.
Have you gotten a look at the teeth on the chalceus yet? They're surprisingly impressive!
Not yet! My chalceus is pretty skittish and won't let me get close to it. Readily eating hikari sticks though.
My tigers eventually shredded my Pink Chalceus. Just so you know.
My chalceus lost an eye to my GATF too.
lol ATF can be aholes
I'm having really high hopes and I feel pretty confident with the pack I have. I have 3 tin foils and 3'silver dollars as dithers, all my fish look good I haven't seen any ripped tails or missing scales surprisingly. For the most part my tigers swim on the bottom and the chalceus on top. Were both of you guys tigers pellet trained at the time your chalceus was attacked? Also I read that some people who keep packs of tigers start to have aggression after the 7in mark any first hand experience with this?
Awesome pack of Tigers man makes me want to get another fish tank this weekend!
Thanks! These guys are my pride and joy. It is the best feeling to not only have a whole pack of them schooling together, having them all get along and watching them attack pellets.
All three goliaths are pushing 5.5 inches maybe even six. What is really noticeable though is how fat and thick they are getting. Both Tanzaniae who caught onto the pellets is now 4.5 maybe 5 inches. It is really noticeable how thick he is getting.
