I use 3/4 pipe and most videos I seen use the same. This was the first project I've done with piping and it works great. For a bigger tank I would use 1" or bigger. It's not much I paid $60 at most for everything but the pump cause I had one already. With thicker pipes maybe a taller tower for more media will work good for bigger tanks.

Ok thanks. Well I have ur number if I have any questions I'll just text you. How are your fry doing btw? I still have fry from both pairs in the community tank surprisingly. The females are looking gravid again so I might pull the fry when I do a water change and put them in the 10 with their brothers and sisters b

Ok cool. Their doing good so far. My pair looks like they want to breed again so I might move my fry too. It's also looking like I've been fry to my overflow so I need to figure out a way to prevent that.

Well my pair is definitely wanting to breed. I moved them back to the 40 cause I lost a good amount of fry to my overflow

Lol thanks. If you watched the carpintis and marble convict fry video of the 3 pairs(marble pair with fry, carpintis with fry, and reg con and marble con), the first pair of marbles was the parents. The video was taken 3 months ago. I have since then broke them up though. Now I have the mom of casper paired with a heavy marbled male. I'm always switching things up... I hardly ever leave things that are well enough alone. Lol
