went out yesterday lookin to jig for flounder, got a handful of out of season black bass and didn't catch any flounder. on the way back in got a huge school of false albacore and sharks all to ourselves. you didn't have to cast just drop something shiny 6" under the water and watch an albie blow up on the bait! really fun on light tackle... there were dozens of sharks most being 5-6' long with a few 8'+ and one MONSTER 10'+ that had to go over 400lbs.. we probably caught 30 albies and had another 5 or 6 eaten off... lots of fun, played with em for about 2 hours and when the wind changed they broke up and went deep

unfortunately not.. the only time i had to take these 2 pictures were when we were starting the boat up to reset on the fish because the school moved, it was way too fast pace for me to even think of breaking the camera out while fishing.. wish i would have though!

So jealous that you went trout fishing! I got the carps in Crow Wing River. I think I'd rather go bowfishing for the carps in southern Minnesota than up north....not too many carps up north.

My goal for this bowfishing season 2013 would be get a mirror carp, a 10+lbs bowfin, a gar, a shad, a tulibee and a smallmouth buffalo.
 
looks like y'all had a serious day bowfishing for those carp!! just curious what do you do with all of em?
