I use Bocourti as target fish. At the beginning they were forced to stay hidden in the rocks and yes I lost a couple but for the end result that I got a few target fish deaths are ok with me. Now it seems the bocourti are thriving in the tank with my large pair of Rio Mags and even showing spawning colors. It really depends on the fish's personality...some will tolerate targets and some will not. All you can do is try.

Congrats CF! I've actually had a couple successful spawns of my Black pair.... My last batch of 200-250 fry went to BlesOne to raise since I was leaving for a camping trip and they would have been neglected. Not sure what size they are now but there should be some nice F2's in circulation in the very near future.

Just a quick picture update. Pair is doing great. Pretty mellow. I'm not looking forward to netting out all the fry. ;-/ I know, I know... First World Problems... LOL
