Dont take my word on it as im not to good with these type of fish but looks like an armatus or a payara to me. Someone who knows help me with this?

Rhaphiodon Vulpinus.

Very neat fish. They do back flips when they eat... lol. Can be very flighty, skittish. Do best with space. Supposed to get around 16" for males, around 2' for females. Pretty passive guys, do best with calm tank mates. Taste good to rays.

Rhaphs are the second largest member of Cynodontidae after the armatus. Those are good fish! A lot of people who have kept them report that they do a very showy backflip when they strike prey!

I just don't know why not alot of people keep these fish.

Most accounts seem to indicate they're probably the most hardy of the bunch.
