Is he taking pellets for you now? You may want to thin out those plants to make it easier for him to locate floating food.

The plants are only in one corner of the tank he likes them to lay and hide in. He finds his blood worms without any problem. Over the weekend I went out for a night when I came home and turned his light on he was begging for food up and down the front pane lol

Wow you guys act like the fish is incapable of surviving without it being "spoon fed". The arowana will find the food just fine. The plants are a plus, keeps the arowana feeling secure. It has alot more room to swim in the heavily planted tank then in a little plastic tub.

This is my advice to him....

I'm not sure how you interpreted that as " incapable of surviving without being spoon fed ". Friendly advice is what people are here for.

The aro will have no problem finding food. I have mine in a heavily planted tank with a crap ton of lotas pads. It loves the pads and has no trouble finding food.

The crate was for feeding while he was so small and and that is how he was raised since the Vendor had got him in. So I did the same and WHAT DO YOU KNOW it worked and didn't kill him geeee lol The plants I have are in one corner and he LOVES them, he hides and lays on top of them, When I feed I put the food beside him and literally watch him eat so No problem there AT ALL. My Aro is always swimming around the tank and laying on his plants. so far what I'm doing hasn't stressed or hurt my Aro, Thanks for all the HELPFUL comments and suggestions guys !

Your "friendly advise" was only a part to the nonsense that has been suggested as to raising this arowana. My comment was a generalization and not directed at you as an individual. Hense the reason for the "s" placed at the end of the word "guy".
