What's the arowana for me...

I've read a lot of threads for arowana keeping I even got a 135 gallons for a grownout tank. But you see I seem still am confused about what kind of species should I get, I prefer asian arowana or even a black arowana, but after reading and having the $$$$ requirements (I'm kinda broke right now, have an accident to pay up) I could only go for a middle range priced arowana, and I do want something that's kinda hardy, also I don't want any silver cause of the high risk of getting DE so guys what would you suggest? Would a Jardini or Malaysian Gold Aro suit me? And you see I wanna put it on a tank, and have it's showroom luster, but I won't just get that shallow I do want a healthy thriving aro, my plan build on the next year which would be a wall aquarium for the aro, and will have a semi planted set up, won't do any gravels cause I'm planting em within a small pot. I've done all my assignments regarding all the readings, and I might go 400-500g on this. thanks!

Jardini seems like the best fit for you, but as long as it can be a solo fish

I'm not a fan of jardinis since they are super aggresive and "mainstream." It'll be a waste of space if you can only keep a single fish in a tank. I would pick either a black aro or a asain aro (not banjar or green).

Jardini's are affordable and stunning fish , they can be aggressive but tankmates are possible with space , big catfish work well aswell as large fish that can hold there own ( jag/dovii cichlids etc) , silver fish are usually a no no imo they attract too much attention , good luck whatever aro you choose on your quest

it varies. Definately can't say black aros are rare nowadays. They can be cheap at a small size. I got a baby 2.5 incher for 60 bucks.

jardinis arnt always agressive there not the killers people describe there just a fish with attitude and they can be kept with other fish jsut select carefully i have a 9 inch jar witch is super protective of my 3 inch jag if something chases my jag my jar will charge at them not attack just charge

+1, I have had my 20"+ jar going on a year and had him with with most every fish you could think of.
