Agreed our legal systems are quite different as are our views on weapons and perhaps fist fighting. In my personal opinion if it had been established that Z started the physical altercation or was verbally abusive I would think he started it and should have taken his lumps but legally, In the USA at least, that's not always the case.

#1 it is... #2 who care what I THINK....WE WILL GO BACK TO THE HEART OF THE DEBATE .. not one witness came forward to say they saw it all..if there was we would know this person as a household name by now ,,, several people saw or heard little pieces of the confrontation after it was well under way ,NOBODY knows who started what, except the dead guy and zimmerman... that is fact....the evidence WASN'T enough to convict... therefore YOU ...W-I-N ,WHATS THE PROBLEM?
 
fact is, nobody witness this happening. everything from that point on is just pure speculation and from what witnesses heard etc..so nobody will ever know what really happened but zimmerman himself. so u can argue for both sides...based on YOUR opinion. but based on the evidence zimmerman is innocent.

NO .BASED ON lack OF EVIDENCE HE WAS found not guilty. big difference, and to some that will sound like I am splitting hairs , but so be it...

The problem is that legally it doesn't matter how it all went down. All that matters is the moment of the shooting and if at that moment the shooting was justified

Nobody wins, a young man is dead and another man's life is ruined. On top of the public attention and threats If he was legally justified in the shooting and isn't nuts it's going to haunt him for the rest of his life.

BTW, unrelates to the reat of this point but, why the heck is anybody threatening the Martin family now? They've shown a great deal of class through this loss and the following ordeal and haven't done anything to deserve it IMO.

I think the main problem you guys have is, that evry idiot is able to carry a gun. Thats the price you pay then. USA has 10.000 gun death each year. You want it that way, you should accept the concequences. So i don´t understand that entire debate.
