here is a few pics any advice you need just ask mate. i will say a'lot of people use sweet water or similar products to seal there tanks but in the uk its a bit more awkward to find an aquarium safe epoxy paint i used a garage floor 2 pack epoxy paint used in laboratories and such there is NO guarantees with this but i have been running leak free so far and it dose not leach or fade the manufacturer did say it will work but there is no indication on time it will take to break down time will tell dosent really affect me as i will be upgrading again soon lol

wow, that looks like a nice tank! dimensions? So with plywood tanks, are they guaranteed to leak eventually?

6ftx3ftx2ft it all depends on what you use and how well. Mine should last a few years but other threads on here show how people use fiberglass and epoxy very thick and strong more like a inside Out boat hull lol there is a whole thread explaining the pros and cons of different products on here

hypothetically speaking, Could I use pond liner Inside the tank as the waterproofing

45-60 mil epdm pond liner can be used just fine. Window adhesion is the big issue with liners but gold label aquarium and pond sealer works and so does 3m 5200 marine. Stay away from pvc liners from hardware stores there junk.
