I should point out that the tank isn't really "finished", my sister is getting married in the US next March so any unnecessary spending on fish has been put on hold until after the holiday! I'm planning to build a wooden fascia to enclose the stand and hide the lighting. As for fish, I'm thinking of adding a small group of Uaru, and perhaps something schooling and mid-swimming, but my choices are fairly limited as it has to be; large enough to not get eaten, South American, not going to nip the geos fins, and available here in NZ. I think the only fish we have that fits the bill is the pink tailed Chalceus, and I'd be happy to have a group of them in there but none are available at the moment.
I'm really happy with how everything is running, the water is clear enough (given that there are four good sized Panaques making a hell of a mess!) and the Poret foam in the sump only needs cleaning about every two weeks.
