7'x12' Plywood Build For My Rays

The only way I can explain keeping rays is that they are difficult if you the keeper make things difficult. Otherwise they can be as easy as any other fish.



No glue is being used. If the screws alone can't hold this thing together wood glue is not going to help much.


No thinking only building. Lol

I've never had a acrylic window before! It seems my best bet since I want a 4 foot window

I've about decided to go with a bud very similar to blacktips 1700 shark tank

I'm also looking at permaflex for the sealant.

Getting really excited

I'm single , young, I answe to myself. I can bud this without asking the wife lol

Can't feel my fingers anymore. Word of advice to future builders doing this solo in the future is get yourself 2 cordless drills. One to pre drill and one to screw. Changing from drill bit to driver sucks.:banghead: Will be done tomorrow and ready to move it to the other side of the garage this weekend.

Never answered that. The answer is whatever you think is good enough to overdue it. There is roughly 3000 screws at this point in the build. 2x6's might be a little overkill. But if it makes you feel better go for it.

This build was originally done by a member on here by the name of JohnG. As for the height that would only be 2 more rows higher then this one. This is 22 rows high and 36" would be 24 rows. Even at this height I am still bracing the the top.
