What about putting the pothos into a floating basket from Home Depot and then into your sump? Then you can put a light on a timer near the sump so the pothos has enough light. With a filter sock setup like yours with the top of the sump open, you could easily do that.
VEry nice set up jbalzo!
It almost looks like that pump pushes water into the pool filter....?
Explain a little more here please.
Yes the pump (Reeflo Dart gold) pushes water from the sump into the pool filter packed with k1. The pump is so strong that after it pushed the water through the pool filter, the water then directly goes from the pool filter into the tank. My turnover rate is pretty high...

Very cool.
So one pump is running the sump and k1/pool filter?
My sump has 2 one hundred micron filter socks.
Then the water goes over 60-70lbs of ceramics and back into the tank via 2 quiet one 6000 pumps for a 10x turnover.
The 2 large pothos plants will soon be in a over head sump. NOw they are in the main tank....but the roots are taking up too much room now.
