Websites for buying Used Aquariums?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I don't think the bottom "tank" holds water or exists. They said it used to have lizards in it. They also said they don't have the glass for it. It's most likely a cabinet which had a glass door.

" Meetings are free and open to everyone. They are held on the 3rd Monday of every month at The New England Aquarium's Harborside Learning Lab on Central Wharf in Boston, MA. The doors open at 7:30 pm. All meetings start at 8 pm with the speaker, followed by our monthly auction of fish and related products." -BAS website

Unfortunately, the monthly Boston meeting for November is tonight. Definitely try a meeting next month, it's free. The NNJ society auction charges $5 for a paddle, and I believe around $25 for a annual membership, which allows you to sell as well as other perks.

I spoke with a woman who was in the boston aquarium society, she said between them and the boston reefers she almost never pays anywhere near retail on anything.

I got 1st dibs on a 250 gallon and 55 gallon for free today. I was luckily the first responder and got a response from him, unfortunately he couldn't provide pics. Without pics I don't see it worth taking an hour drive. My plan was to clean and resell the 250g tank as I don't want a tank that large to maintain, use the 55g....I've flipped tanks like this lots of times. I'm just getting done selling off (9) 10 gallon aquariums fully setup with AC50's, sponge filters, air pumps, valves and heaters. I scored all that for $25. :WHOA::naughty:

I will try and remember to check the Boston craigslist for you when I'm done with NJ....what are you looking for tho? How many gallons, and approx. footprint? I can respond to the ad and forward your phone number or email if you like. Just pm me details. Being first responder is key, so it's not worth wasting time forwarding you stuff, it'll likely be gone by the time you get the message. I check 2-3 times daily.
