The Walking Dead

^ why....those episodes had a lot to do with zombies and getting back to basic survival. Most of the moves he made was to protect people from zombies and to get reestablished somewhere safe.

i think moving away from the prison alone will bring zombies back into the fold but from the sound of things from comic readers, we're just heading toward a different villain. personally i'm glad the governor is gone but it feels like we went from a crawl with the sick people and carols betrayal to blur speed with the re intro of the governor and then killed a few episode later. now we have a 3 month break? i'd rather we just kept the prick if we were gonna break like this

you guys are insane in the membrane

keep gov all season? gtfo. we all agree he should've got axed last season, and this season the sooner the better. i'm satisfied with him gone in the midseason finale. it was the right way to end for the break.

it would've pissed off the masses if he did not die yet. the prison was like the farm version 2.0

That episode had zombies in it, but who cares if the zombies attack the Gov and his camp? People care about Rick and Beth and Darryl and all the main characters from season 1.

You know nothings gonna happen to the Gov or his people before they storm the prison because the show needs to set up that huge battle at the prison and it wouldn't look right if the Governor's army was already half gone from a zombie attack from the previous episode.

Lol, I just meant they were more a threat and a part of the story then with the prison group.

It's what you wanted right?

The Governor was an interesting villain, but the zombies are what make the show cool. All the time they spent on him took the show's focus away from the zombies and it wasn't as fun as season 1-2. That recent episode where it was all about the governor and how he meets the new group was so slow and boring. I'm really glad they moved away from the prison and killed the Governor so I can finally have me some more zombies!

Yeah I think getting out of prison will make the show more interesting and a little more zombie focused. I thought the 2 episodes before the mid-season finale were pretty slow, but the mid-season finale was really exciting. I will miss Hershel as he was one of my favorite characters, but I am glad that the Governor was killed and liked the way they did it. I think he was a great villain, but he really had served his purpose in the story.

Another thing that really bothered me when I was watching this was that the Gov had his tank drive through the prison fences. Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of being in the prison, if the walkers won't be kept out?

If the Governor was after the "safety" of the prison he would have taken Rick up on his offer of living side-by-side on the prison.

The Governor wanted revenge on Rick's group. The safety of the prison was how he sold it to his group. I don't think he ever had an intention of letting Rick hand over the prison peacefully.

It was part his "Shock and Awe"approach in taking down Rick's group.

didnt most of this happen while he was fighting with rick? I think he planned on rebuilding the fence but taking over the prison and hurting rick and co as they left.
