Diaz won and it was a pretty good TKO. I thought that he looked really good.
The best part was his speech after. He can barely get through his sentences, then he's like, "I got s*** to do. I'm hungry". Haha

I wouldn't call the rule nonsense. I just think they need to change the definition of what a "downed opponent" is

sure you can still get kicked in the head while standing but at least on your feet you can defend yourself
 
I was just joking. I hate seeing people try to avoid the fight like that guy was. It was his choice to not be on his feet where he could defend himself. I wouldn't call the rule nonsense either, but the people who abuse the rules should be warned and then penalized if it continues. That was ruled an illegal blow and he lost by DQ by the way.

Did you see the illegal knee from Blanco vs Akira? Blanco got DQ'd and started doing flips like he just won. Apparently he has a history of kicking and kneeing downed opponents. I won't be surprised if he gets released.
 
yes I did see blanco knee akira. although it was definitely illegal and a dq was justified, I can't say I feel bad about it. I hate akira

the people who abuse the rule won't get penalized because they are legally using the rule to their advantage. I've stated before, the definition needs to change. a downed opponent should be a person with at least one knee on the ground. at least make it so that it's two hands because with two hands down they can't defend their head
 
Fights last night were pretty good.
Poor Pat Barry, he's had some pretty bad KOs in his last few fights. Palelei, is huge and once he was on top, it's impossible to get him off.
Shogun looked good, but he's consistently inconsistent. It'll be interesting to see him at 185lbs. I'm a big fan though, so it's always nice to see him get the W.
Hunt vs Bigfoot was awesome. Honestly, I think a draw was the right call in that fight. It's a shame Hunto couldn't get the W in AUS, but it was still a great fight.

Hunt/Bigfoot fight was pretty insane. though it was a draw, the ufc gave both of them win bonuses and they won fight of the night.

well deserved too. it was a bloody war. I was rooting for hunt so bad. The round where hunt got mounted had me on the edge of my seat. First time in a long while my heart was pounding during a fight. mad respect for both guys.

ryan bader aslo beat the snot out of perosh.

and I was happy about shogun's ko. that was absolutely brutal. both feet planted, short, accurate left hook that was an entrance to a right hook combination. good thing he went down before the right could land, that would've been more devastating
