Yeh i found some of the palmas on the internet. They look wonderful.. How large do they grow? I read that they where the smallest species, but yet again i prefer hearing it from someone that has kept them, and not just webside.
Thanks for helping me with this.

What palmas are you talking about? the Palmas polli, Palmas Palmas, or Palmas buettikoferi? I have them all and they are all very different and I love them for it.

The Mokelembembe seems interessting to. Before i read the Palmas where the smallest.. Now im reading these ones are.. Im confused to be honest.. Wich one is the most agressive?

The Palmas polli from what I have experience are the second most active bichirs behind the senegals. And the Palmas Palmas get pretty big actually. The smallest bichir is the mokelembembe it usually maxes out around 9"-12" with the senegal and several other maxing out at just a little bigger. However senegals don't seem to reach their WC sizes any more and usually stay around 8-10". Palmas Palmas actually get a little bigger I am actually getting a 14"er from Jurassic aquatics.

Oh i didnt know there where more than one palmar.. Im guessing i was talking about the buettikoferi. It looked a little like the delhzeri right? I think thats the one i saw. Again wich one is the smallest?

The most aggressive upper jaw would have to be the ornate, however that seems to vary between individuals. Aggression seems to start up around the 10"-12" mark according to those who have had aggressive ornates. Mine isn't aggressive at all, but it's around 7-8" so my opinion might change sooner or later hopefully it doesn't though.

So you personal opinion is that a fully sized mokelembembe woulndt eat a group of 10 - 12 centimeter synodontis. (With fishes you can never really be sure, i know.)

If it had noticeable stripes it was probably a palmas palmas. I will get some pics of mine for example. The smallest is mokelembembe at 9"-11", but senegals only reach around 8"-10"

I would not think so, but if they can fit in it's mouth it's always a possibility, but to me if you keep it well fed you shouldn't have any problems especially with mokes being shy (at least from what I've seen). Senegals shouldn't have any problems with your synos either. I would recommend a senegal to start out with because they are easy to find and cheap and usually come small. I would put the senegal with the synos and see what goes from there, but IMO I don't think a senegal or mokelembembe would eat synos that big.
