Dorado Grow out Thread.

Also not a dorado expert

When I kept one it had much more yellow in it's face and a more "boxy" snout. Also kept bare bottom but with some decor. He swam in all levels of the tank.

Maybe this can help a little with the id

After reviewing your pics and mine there is definitely a substantial difference in the jaw line/face at a similar size of 12" or so

I'd love to see some pics of your Dorado as well...... PLEASE post some we can see....... :)

How long ago did you have it?

Looks like a Franky to me.
 
Redecorated the aquarium (still not completed) Also added a channa marulioides 10 inch and a Bagarius Yarelli 10 inch as tank mates.
