OUR NEW BABY :)

That is cute. sometimes even normally grumpy pets will sense vulnerability in a weaker baby like your pup & respond with the best in themselves.
:-)

+1~ and VERY VERY adorable together. I'm so glad to hear they're getting along well! A nice relationship with cats and dogs happens more often than we realize, especially when one senses a need in the other. Great job by everyone in your home :)

I take it your not cat lover? She was in the 1st pic with her paw on the dog sleeping, my cat has been here for 4+ years and is never going anywhere.....and what does my iggy have to do with anything? Sorry a bit confused as this thread was intended to be about my dog which happen to be sleeping next to my cat which is a miracle cuz my cat hates every animal but seems to like this dog! Words like "eww" when talking about my cat are not welcomed!

Vets said she was 7-8 weeks and we've have her for almost 4 so she's about 12 weeks and growing a lot every day. Her left eye is still blue. Will post pics later.

No I just hate cats, am really allergic to them. And I think they make awful awful pets and I don`t see why everyone loves them so much. It`s just a shame when you click on a great thread about a little puppy and a stupid cat shows up

reeally? just man up a little bit there.
it's not as if seeing a photo exposes you to cat allergens or anything & there's no need to be rude.

Yea she's a good cat, but when the pup does push the cats patience she will often swipe the dog with her paw (de clawed) and that usually results with the pup running a few circles and bowing down.

Thanks! Just need to see how she will react to the reptiles, especially the iguana! Cat is fine with them as long as they don't try anything! Probably wait a few months until I introduce them, I think her hungry puppy instinct may be a little too curious!

Well if you actually took time to read the pages before this your inner ego may be satisfied!

This is a thread documenting my puppy growing up and if that includes my cat putting her paw on the pup while both are sleeping then so be it, its adorable!

If this thread gives you the sniffles by all means leave the room and blow the BS out of your nose! Because "cats make awful awful pets" is perhaps the most ignorant thing I may have heard in awhile and I'm sure plenty will agree.

And again, +1.

Thanks ladies, such hatred toward cats makes me wonder...... an animal lover is usually just that!

That depends on who can run faster; your puppy or your reptiles ;)
And You're welcome!

Iggys have good speed but on the hardwood floors its anyone's guess! She would likely climb up something to get away but iguana bites are no joke! Even their tail whips hurt!

*UPDATE*

Been 6 weeks since we got her and she's doing great! 3 vet visits later she's been in the proper weight class for a couple weeks and has had 2 rounds of deworming, heartworm treatment and a bunch of other misc vaccines! Eating/playing like a champ! She's gets fixed this coming week :/

Hope you like these pics from today!uploadfromtaptalk1393804407890.jpguploadfromtaptalk1393804420749.jpguploadfromtaptalk1393804432925.jpguploadfromtaptalk1393804447025.jpg

We've finally got her crate trained for the most part, she has zero accidents in it but as far as using the outdoors are a restroom that is an uphill battle being winter! I can take her on walks without hassle but she's far to interested in everything around her to bother going, but she's pee'd a couple times outside thus far, so ATM a couple potty pads are still being used at 12 weeks.

IMO couldn't have been blessed with a better dog! <3 at 1st sight ;)

Awwwww! She looks fantastic! What a difference after 6 weeks of TLC. I'm thinking she's blessed to have been rescued and have such a wonderful home.
Dogs that are well cared for usually don't have accidents in their crates, they like their beds to be clean :)

Since she's still recovering from maltreatment & being trained to 'go' outside, does her vet feel there's a medical reason to spay her at such a young age? Just want to be clear, I'm not saying you shouldn't spay her ~ because I think you should. I'm just curious.....
